About Kyle
The City of Kyle is conveniently located in the heart of Central Texas, between Austin and San Antonio on one of the State's major transportation arteries, I-H 35. Kyle is situated just 15 miles south of Austin.
In the late 1800's, Kyle was a major player in the cotton business. This area was also the "Gateway to Texas Ranch Country." By the late 1990's, Kyle saw a large increase in population and commercial development. Today, Kyle is the fifth fastest growing community in the State of Texas. Creating unique opportunities and challenges for all the citizens that consider Kyle their home.
Mission
Kyle will be the premier employment center for the southern tier of the Austin metropolitan area and will serve as a destination for the best shopping, recreation, and living in Hays County.
